What are the check-in and check-out times?

Do you have parking?

Yes, free private parking on site. No need to reserve a space. There are also adapted spaces for people with reduced mobility.

Yes, we serve a buffet breakfast. If you are a pilgrim and need to leave before the usual time, please let us know when booking and we will prepare it for you.

Yes, Restaurante Antolín is on site. We serve Galician seafood and fresh fish from the estuary, for lunch and dinner. Options for vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs and people with lactose intolerance are available.

Cesantes Beach is directly opposite the hostel, a few metres across the promenade. It has over two kilometres of sandy beach in the heart of the Ensenada de San Simón.

No, the hostel does not have a swimming pool or spa. But we have Cesantes Beach directly opposite and the Ría de Vigo with options for paddle surfing, kayaking and kitesurfing. We can help you book activities from the hostel.

Yes, all rooms at Hostal Antolín have a private bathroom. It includes a shower or bathtub, complimentary toiletries, towels and a hairdryer.

The Family Room has its own balcony and terrace with sea and mountain views. It is the premium room type of the hostel.

We offer five types: Single (1 person), Double (2 people, sea views), Triple (3 people), Quadruple (4 people) and Family (4+ people, with balcony and terrace). All with private bathroom, TV and free WiFi.

Yes. Hostal Antolín is in Redondela, on the route of the Camino Portugués, just 1.5 km from the coastal variant. We stamp Pilgrim Credentials at reception.

Yes. Cesantes train station is 350 m away (5 minutes' walk). There is a direct connection from Vigo or Pontevedra. Vigo bus station is 18 km away and Pontevedra bus station is 15 km away.

Yes. At reception, we attend in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Most pilgrims on the Camino Portugués arrive from Portugal or Brazil and can communicate comfortably in their own language.

Yes. We accept cash, credit or debit card and Bizum. It is not necessary to carry only cash.

How far is the Camino Portugués from the hostel?

The Camino Portugués passes 1.2 km from Hostal Antolín, just below the Redondela viaducts. It's about a 15-minute walk along the Paseo da Praia bordering the Ría de Vigo. Upon leaving the hostel, turn left and follow the promenade until you see the yellow arrows.

Does the hostel stamp the Pilgrim Credential?

Yes. At reception, we stamp the Pilgrim Credential. You can ask for it when checking in or when leaving in the morning. It's another souvenir for your credential before arriving at the Obradoiro.

Yes. The Double Room has direct views of the sea and the Ensenada de San Simón. The Family Room also has its own balcony and terrace with sea and mountain views. From both, you can see Isla de San Simón.

Our rates are the same for all guests, although they vary by season. We offer credential stamping, early breakfast (if you let us know when booking) and backpack storage free of charge as courtesies to those walking the Camino.

Does the restaurant also serve external guests?

Our restaurant is reserved exclusively for hostel guests. If you are staying with us, you can enjoy our homemade Galician cuisine for both breakfast and dinner upon request when checking in.

How long does it take to drive from Vigo airport?

Accepted Answer

Vigo airport (VGO) is about 25 km from the hostel, approximately 25 minutes by car via the AP-9 motorway. It is the nearest airport to get to Redondela. From Santiago de Compostela airport, the distance is about 90 km (less than 1 hour by car).

Are you open all year round?

Yes. Hostal Antolín is open all year round. The peak pilgrim season for the Camino Portugués runs from March to October, with more visitors in summer. We recommend booking in advance for July, August and September.
